Foundation Treats Women, Retirees, Children Living With Sickle Cell In Zuba
Selflessness and Love for Humanity are the perfect words to describe the Praise Land Academy Foundation when over 1000 women, retirees and children living with sickle cell anaemia were treated on 26th- 27th October, 2018 by a team of Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, & Lab Scientists headed by the Project Director of the Praise Land Academy Foundation, Ambassador Hillary Emoh.
Praise Land Academy Foundation, a Non Governmental organisation embarked on the 2-day free Medical Mission in Ikwa LGA, a community in Zuba, Abuja, Nigeria to help those who couldn’t afford medical treatment.
According to Ambassador Hillary Emoh, he explained that the reason for the Medical Outreach is not new as he describe the President and Founder of the Foundation, Prof. Amb. Apostle Ejiofor Chinedum Emmanuel as a man who finds joy in touching lives and improving the wellbeing of the Poorest of the Poor in our society.
He said:”Prof Ejiofor has been empowering men and women for years now, this is nothing strange or new to him, it is his passion for the the development of humanity.
The Medical Outreach also had the presence of the renowned Sickle cell Warrior, Ms Rabi Maidunama, President and Founder of the Maidunama Sickle Cell Foundation. The Maidunama Sickle Cell Foundation lead by her founder also provided free drugs and counselling to the entire sickle cell anaemia patient.
Speaking, the President and Founder of the Foundation said, this is our own little way of giving back to the society. He said, ” alot of people are dying everyday because they cannot even afford panadol because of the economy.
Most of them don’t even have access to any form of basic healthcare services. I want to encourage more people to focus on helping others, as that is the only way for us to reduce the poverty in the Land.
