MTV EMAs: Here’s why backstage is VIP deal
The Bilbao Exhibition Center, Spain is already bubbling with activities, and to underscore why a lot goes into a few hours ceremony are the sleepless nights put in by crew members prior to the D-Day.
It is just amazing that for the EMAs, the size of the backstage alone is more than the space that would be required by some show organisers to fly their event.
Indeed, the EMA backstage is a community of people doing all sorts, just to set the right mood for the event, taking place at the Bilbao Exhibition Center, BEC, on Sunday, November 4, 2018.
It is a comfort zone for the performing artistes, celebrity show hosts, presenters, and nominees, most of whom have got a private dressing room to themselves for the show.
A tour of the facilities, for example, shows the luxuries that await some celebrities, including Nicki Minaj who wiil be occupying Room 29; Little Mix with Room 28 and Halsey with Room 12.
Safe for a bed, Halsey’s room for example has an exquisite sitting area, a mini bar with assorted wines and snacks, wardrobe, dressing mirror, makeup kits etc.
The American singer, songwriter, and actress is billed to perform at the event.
The backstage also houses essential logistics such as the radio room, press office, Viacom security, production room, meeting room, a massaging and fitness center.

The Urbanist Graffiti man was among the very busy people at the backstage, putting things in perspective. He was creating customised artworks for Generation Change nominees. In the same art and makeup room was German fashion blogger, Caro Daur, having a hairdo.
There are also quite a number of exhibitions of wares for the celebs backstage. You would find product companies and designer like Pooch Power with some of the best dog accessories; DLX fashion; Lab Series; Boda Skins; Cocktails badabooms offering their stuff for free; Raymond Weil Geneve; and Foreo among others.
