Akwa Ibom police to probe alleged attempt on Udom
Akwa Ibom State Governor udom Emmanuel has urged the police to probe the alleged attempt on the type of the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Obong Nsima Ekere
The attention of the Akwa Ibom State Government has been drawn to the widely reported news story on the alleged assassination attempt on the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Obong Nsima Ekere. The alleged incident was said to have occurred on Wednesday, October 3, 2018.
Considering how grave the nature of the allegation made by Obong Ekere represents, Governor Udom Emmanuel has directed the State Police Commissioner and the State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS) to expeditiously investigate the incident, and report findings as soon as possible.
It bears repeating that Akwa Ibom State remains one of the most peaceful States in the Federation and this was made possible because of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s avowed commitment to engendering peace, security and a spirit of brotherhood in the State.
