Buhari Support Group vows to work against APC governor’s reelection
The Buhari Support Group in Adamawa chapter has endorsed Senator Abdulaziz Nyako, governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its preferred candidate for Saturday governorship poll.
Director General of the group, Aliyu Usman Waziri made this known yesterday in Yola.
Waziri said though they worked for Buhari’s re-election under APC, they had resolved to work against the re-election of Governor Bindow under APC because he had failed to deliver.
Waziri said that Bindow not only failed to delivered but also allowed decay in critical areas like health and educational sectors.
“There is also insecurity in the state capital due to menace of jobless youths known as Shila boys, while the state is now seriously indebted because of reckless borrowing by Bindow administration,” Waziri said.
He noted that even president Buhari had made it clear that the electorates should vote for performance which they saw in Senator Abdulaziz Nyako who is the current serving senator for Adamawa Central senatorial District.“Abdul-Aziz of ADC has proven his worth based on his quality representation in the senate and the fact that he play a vital role in the passage of not too young to run and north east development commission bills.
“Even Mr President said that Nigerians should be free to make informed choice of candidates for this election and we feel we saw a good candidate in Sen. Abdul-Aziz Nyako of ADC.
“Abdul-Aziz as a senator proved his worth in the senate; as a youth he actively contributed in the passage of Not-too-young to run and the North East Development Commission bills.”
The group also noted that Nyako’s manifesto for Adamawa showed that he was committed to resuscitating popular empowerment programmes such as Local Apprenticeship Scheme (LAS), Farming Skills Acquisition Centres (FSAC) and Special Assistance (SA) programme.
It congratulated president Buhari for his victory and urged Nigerians to accord him maximum support in his commitment to move the nation to the next level.
