INTRODUCTION:
Youth Research and Development Forum is an initiative where youth comes together for building better communities through practical world quality research, innovation, knowledge exchange, and critical thinking, networking, and skill development
AIMS
The Youth and Research and Development Forum (YRDF) Country branch – Nigeria whose aims is to bring; Government, Corporations, Universities, Institutions, Organizations, Youth Communities or Clubs, Researchers, Policy Makers and youth together to learn from each other in view of research, resources shares, mutual cooperation and collaboration, etc.
WHAT WE DO:
YRDF is a unique platform for students, young professionals, researchers to ensure quality research and innovation. It provides wide range of opportunities for finding problem and builds solutions by –
v Building direct relationship and networking with government, organizations, corporations, universities, institution, organizations, youth communities or clubs.
v Collaborating on multi-country and multi-partnership research projects
v High industry relevance because of direct access with government and non-government entities based on mutual collaboration.
v Providing opportunities to identify real life problems and doing quality research.
v To improve the wellbeing of young people by collaboratively transforming evidence into policy and practice.
v Contributing for the development of the nations.
v Skill development of youth and young professionals.
v Providing supports and galvanizing entrepreneurship to bring to bring innovations from the lab the real-world.

The following programmes are proposed for Youth Research and Development Forum (YRDF) – Nigeria Branch Kick-Off:
1. YRDF – Nigeria Awareness Campaign
(Theme: Youth and Teens Nigeria Peace March – in 3 states)
Requirements:
(a) Television airtime for adverts, promotion, talk-shows, and press conference.
(b) Radio Jingle Production and announcement
(c) YRDF branded T-shirts, Caps, Backdrops, billboard, banners and flyers.
2. YRDF ICT Training & Empowerment
(Title: Modernizing Secondary Schools using ICT in Nigeria. And the project will last for 18 months in 10 schools centres in Nigeria – for first phase).
3. YRDF – Nigeria Research Projects Competition and Paper Presentations (for all universities and general public, and winners will become Nigeria Universities Campus Ambassadors (UCA), and Communities Youth Leaders Ambassadors (CYLA’s). And their projects will publish and fund).
4. YRDF – Nigeria Youth Entrepreneurship Development (Seminars and Workshops) and at the end of the exercise youths will be given certificate of participation, and business plan fund for start-up. While the seminars and workshop will last one month.

12. Youth Campus Film Festival and Adventure (Title: The Paradise Temple)
13. Setting Up - YRDF Waste Tyre, Plastic and Rubber Recycling Centre in Nigeria
14. Setting Up - YRDF Cassava/Corn Processing to Flour, syrup and Glucose in Nigeria
15. Climate Reality Project (tree planting)
16. Remote Area Medical
17. Nigeria Youth Sport Festival
