Transfer: PSG threaten Barcelona
Paris Saint German have threatened to report Barcelona to FIFA over the latest transfer wrangle between the two clubs, according to Sports.
The Ligue1 giants forcibly signed Neymar from Camp Nou last summer.
The £200m deal was only possible because PSG triggered Neymar’s release clause.
There has been a back-and-forth since between the two clubs.
The latest is that Barca want a full investigation from UEFA into PSG’s finances.
And now PSG claim Barcelona have approached midfielder Adrien Rabiot without their permission.
The French champions have threatened to report Barca to FIFA over the alleged illegal approach, unless Barca back off.
FIFA rules do not allow clubs to directly contact players of another side unless that side has given them permission to do so.
But in a twist to the transfer tale, Barcelona claim to have done everything above board in their pursuit of Rabiot.
Sports reports that the Catalan giants insisted that their officials Pep Segura and Eric Abidal travelled to inform PSG of their interest in the midfielder.
Tensions between the two clubs have simmered since last summer – before Neymar’s deal was even considered.
