Theresa May: Fani-Kayode blasts Buhari over Nigeria’s poverty level
Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister, has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari over the comment made by the British Prime Minister, Theresa May on Nigeria’s poverty index.
May had yesterday in South Africa noted that Nigeria was the home of the highest number of poor people in the world.
Fani-Kayode, while reacting, mocked President Buhari.
In a tweet, Fani-Kayode wrote: “87 million Nigerians live below $1 and 90 cents a day, making it home to more very poor people than any other nation in the world – PM Theresa May of the UK.
“In June, the Brookings Institute named Nigeria the poverty capital of the world, overtaking India.
“Clap for Buhari!”
