2019 Presidential Debate: ‘Why Buhari must debate with Atiku’ – Omokri counters Shehu Sani
Reno Omokri, the former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has countered Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna Central over President Muhammadu Buhari’s availability for the 2019 presidential debate.
Buhari’s political party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, had earlier stated that the President may not be available for the debate.
Sani, addressing issue of Buhari’s presence at the debate on his Twitter page, noted that the much anticipated presidential debate is not by force.
In a tweet he wrote in pidgin English on Tuesday night, the lawmaker noted that some persons just want to President to come out for debate so as to disgrace him.
Shehu Sani tweeted, “If Baba [Buhari] no wan debate make you leave am; abi na by force?
“All the talk wey he dey talk everyday no do you?
“Una just want make he come then u begin disgrace am with quote quote China this China that; If na China talk dey sweet una, Baba don go there tire.Make una take your time o!”
But, Omokri, reacting to Sani’s tweet, said it was compulsory for Buhari to attend the presidential debate.
According to Omokri, Buhari must attend if he wants votes from Nigerians.
The former presidential Spokesman wrote: “Senator Shehu Sani, being President is also not by force. If Buhari does not want to debate, then he should go to Daura to play with his 150 gay cattle that never increase in number.
“As far as he wants our votes, Buhari must debate. Period.”
