Ikpeazu mourns ex-CJN Kutigi
Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has described the late former Chief Justice Of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi, as an impartial jurist of all time.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Enyinnaya Appolos, the governor said the late Justice Kutigi would be remembered for his “impartiality and fair minded contributions to the democratic development of the nation”.
Ikpeazu said: “The late Justice Idris, as a strong advocate of Justice in Nigeria, was a shining light, an impartial jurist and a good example for young persons who desire to build their career in the legal profession.”
Commiserating with his family, the governor said the demise of the former CJN occurred when men like him were needed to stabilise the country.
He added that Justice Kutigi would not only be missed by his family and the Judiciary but also by all who came across him one way or the other.
