Pharmaceutical Development.
Nigeria has
been granted Certification by the International Organization for
Standardization, ISO, for complying with the International Standards of
service.
Acting Director-General of the National Institute for Pharmaceutical and Research Development, NIPRD, Prof.
Kunle Olobayo said that the certificate will enable Nigeria carry out proper Drug testing and promote equality of Medicine in Nigeria.

Prof. Kunle noted further that the certification is
extremely important in the face of prevailing Health challenges,
competitiveness in the cost of production and the quality of drugs and
pharmaceutical raw materials in the country.
The Deputy Mission Director of the United States Agency for
International Development, Erin Holleran commended Nigeria for meeting the
criteria of the International Organization for Standardization.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the
certificate to NIPRD and was received by the Minister of State for Health Dr.
Osagie Ehanire.
While receiving the certificate, the Hon. Minister conveyed
his message of Hope in the health sector as a dream come true especially at
NIPRD
The ISO approach will provide the Institution with robust,
Global recognized and acceptable solutions to address quality issues inherent
in pharmaceutical Research And Development
