U-17 AFCON: Nigeria draws with Uganda, qualify for World Cup

Nigeria’s U-17 team were held to a 1-1 draw by Uganda, in the ongoing U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzani.

The two-time African champions finished as winners of Group A.

Following the result at the Chamazi Stadium in Dar es Salaam, the Golden Eaglets also sealed their place at the FIFA U-17 World Cup which will take place in Brazil.

The Nigerians will face the second-placed team in Group B on Wednesday.

Group B would be sorted out on Sunday, as leaders Cameroon confront Senegal and second–placed Guinea tackle Morocco.
