‘Our people voted to thank Oshiomhole, Alimekhena’
A former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Edo State, Chief Lucky James, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) won all elections in Edo North because the people appreciated the development efforts of Senator Francis Alimekhena and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
James, who described Oshiomhole as the ‘shrine’ and Alimekhena ‘the priest’ of Edo North, said what reflected in the votes was a show of appreciation by the people.
He said: “What you saw in the election was a thank you by the people to Oshiomhole and Senator Alimekhena.
“What they found in Oshiomhole is what they found in Senator Alimekhena. He has an impact in all the 60 wards in the senatorial district.
“The man is their sure hope for the light of today and tomorrow. All the candidates of APC in Edo North were supported by Alimekhena. He carried all of them along. A clear leader has arrived in Edo North. When he was in the Army, he was there for everybody.
“Oshiomhole is the shrine and the Chief Priest who served the shrine well is Senator Alimekhena. That is why they called him the Oracle of Development. Oshiomhole started development of Edo North and Alimekhena continued.”
