EPL: Arsenal’s summer transfer budget revealed as Emery targets three major signings
Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, will be handed a transfer budget of only £45million this summer and wants to sign at least three players, the Daily Mail reports.
Emery was only able to sign Denis Suarez from Barcelona on loan during the January transfer window.
The gulf between Gunners and defending Premier League champions Manchester City was highlighted on Sunday, when Emery’s side sunk to a 3-1 defeat at the Etihad.
Following the match, Emery admitted City showed their “superiority” and expressed hope he will bolster his squad after the season.
The former Paris Saint-Germain boss wants to sign at least three players, including a new left back, but will have just £45m to spend.
That kitty may increase if Arsenal are able to sell players.

Offloading Mesut Ozil is a possibility, while Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck are both set to leave the Emirates when their deals expire.
Petr Cech has already announced last month he would retire at the end of this season.
