EPL: Fellaini reveals ‘three things’ Mourinho told Man Utd players before 3-2 comeback against Newcastle
Manchester United midfielder, Marouane Fellaini, has revealed the ‘three things’ that manager, Jose Mourinho told the team at half time following his side’s Premier League 3-2 victory over Newcastle on Saturday.
Goals from Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez ensured victory for the Red Devils.
Fellaini said Mourinho asked his United players to be ‘men’, ‘not to be afraid’ and ‘to go show their class in the second half’ after a poor opening 45 minutes against Rafael Benitez’s men.
“I think the first half was a difficult moment for us,’ Fellaini told BT Sport.
“Everybody was frustrated in the dressing room, but we ranked well, we were more aggressive, more direct and forward, we created a lot of chances.
“The manager asked us to be men, to not be afraid, to go and play. And that’s what we did in the second half.”
