PDP presidential primary: Real reason PDP delegates rejected Saraki – APC
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has again lashed out at the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
This time, the ruling party said the lawmaker lost out on his bid to contest for presidency next year because even members of his party were fed up with his style of leadership.
Saraki came third with 317 votes behind the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal and the eventual winner, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The APC had earlier mocked the former Governor, who dumped the party few months ago, for emerging the second runner up at the Presidential Election Convention of the PDP.
In his reaction, the lawmaker had said that the ruling party was was obsessed with him.
But in a tweet on Wednesday night, the APC, through its National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena, said the people had already taken into consideration that Saraki was not to be trusted.
He added, “With a miserly 317 votes, PDP delegates showed they are fed up with Senator Bukola Saraki’s political style.
“When a leader can’t be trusted, relied on and keep agreements, the people take cognizance and respond with their votes.”
