Kidnapped Chief Medical Director son,of a hospital, Apata Ibadan two others regain freedom in Oyo
Kayode Sule, son of the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of a hospital, Apata Ibadan Dr. Oladipupo Sule, has regained freedom from his abductors.
FAZENOTETV recalls that Sule and two other staff of the hospital were waylaid by some people suspected to be kidnappers along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Tuesday.
The trio were kidnapped at Ogumakin area of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway axis of Ogun state while returning from Lagos at night, where they have gone to make medical purchases for the hospital.
It was gathered that the Toyota Sienna car in which the victims were travelling in, was abandoned at the scene on Tuesday.
The CMD, who had confirmed the abduction on Tuesday, lamented that he was distressed and seriously devastated.
“My son and two others went to Lagos to buy drugs for the hospital and were on the way back from the trip when they were ambushed and kidnapped.
“The driver said one of the kidnappers communicated in English and others were speaking in Hausa or Fulani language. They are yet to talk to me for us to know what their real identities and intentions”.
But, FAZE NOTE TV gathered that Kayode Sule, Dele Adigun and Opeyemi Abifarin have been released late Friday night by their captors, who were said to about 15 in number.
A staff of the hospital, who begged not to be named, confided in journalists on Saturday in Ibadan, that the trio had been released.
It was further learnt that Kayode, who sustained gunshot injury on the leg, was being given medical attention after regaining freedom.
It could not be ascertained whether the ransom earlier demanded by the kidnappers were paid before they were released.
A police source at the Oyo state command said the scene where the captives were taken was not within Oyo state police command.
A visit to the hospital in Apata, Ibadan, indicated that there was joyous feelings among the staff, thanking and giving glory to God for sparing the lives of the staff of the hospital.
However, all efforts to see the CMD to react proved to be abortive.
A staff nurse, who spoke in confidence, was full of praises to God, but said the CMD and other staff have been instructed to keep sealed lips by security operatives on the matter for security reasons.
