Police parade man for ‘producing’ fake wine
The police in Edo State have paraded a 35-year-old man, Chizoba Okafor, for allegedly producing fake wine and gin.
He was arrested at his one room apartment on Upper Mission Road, Benin where he produced the wine.
Police Commissioner Babatunde Kokumo said Chizoba was nabbed after investigation.
He expressed worry about the number of persons that might have fallen ill after consuming the wine.
Chizoba said he produced the wine because his master refused to ‘settle him’ after serving him for years.
He said he would read the contents on any bottle and go to the market to buy them for production.
